Pros

They offered great training resources.

Cons

The CEO, Gideon Caroll, failed miserably to scale. He spent more time on vacation than a retiree that won the lottery. A good product was created in the UK . Gideon failed to bring on the people necessary to build a US product. Several very poor promotions/hires on the product and operations team stalled the growth potential. Clients with signed contracts were left with no product for YEARS. Gideon failed to raise money in 2022 nor shift operationally to the demands of investors (Get clients live) in order to raise funds until it was too late. They then cut most of the staff globally while trying to become profitable. If you are a potential US employee, do not go here. If things go south, expect 0 notice and one week of severance.

Pros

The petrol market is full of nice people. Some of them are at EdgePetrol. Business has a good reputation in the UK market.

Cons

The CEOs not interested in employee feedback and firmly believes that he knows best, resulting in staff feeling unheard and undervalued. Growth has stagnated as a result. Apparently not a nice place to work if you are female either.

Tread Lightly

Pros

The previous CRO, implementation team, and those leading customer success have all been nothing short of exemplary. I only wish the same could be said for those in the C-suite.

Cons

Thinking of joining? Ask yourself: Does leadership have real experience managing, growing, or sustaining the business model they’ve pitched? Are promises consistently made and kept? Are you being paid market rate, or are you underpaid and scrutinized while executives enjoy another retreat? Is the product actually viable, or is it being built on the flawed assumption that a UK-based solution could be seamlessly replicated for the U.S. market, with zero foresight or planning?
