Pros

There really is no pro's to working for this toxic dysfunctional company. It has too many issues and every step they take to "resolve" the problems only makes them worse.

Cons

Garbage pay which insults the people who have to live off it in Missoulas crumbling economy Health Benefits only 2% of employees can afford No raises ever, No chance for advancement, and only broken promises made to keep you on a leash if you have any hope remaining here that your future will be brighter.

Pros

There are absolutely NO pros to working at EDULOG (Education Logistics)

Cons

- Hostile work environment - No one knows who does what - When you do find someone who "may" be able to help you, they are afraid to say anything for fear of retaliation from higher management or other employees - a "fend for yourself" and "kill or be killed" mentality - Low pay by even Montana standards - They have hired new "upper management" who are paid far above what any other employees (including managers) were ever hired for in an attempt to look like they appreciate their employees and pay well - Staff are treated like cattle, and respected just as much - Turnover rate is roughly at 80+% when I was still there and from what I have heard nothing has changed - There are constant meetings that accomplish nothing - You are giving nothing but busy work that goes no where - There is only accountability if they need someone to throw under the bus and cover themselves - The new COO is completely clueless and too arrogant to shut up and hear what others have to say - What interaction I have had with the new exec's has been highly unprofessional and borderline stalking - The president has no idea what he is doing and is a compulsive liar...you can't trust him or the owners - they only provide empty promises and use hostility and force to intimidate and control. I was told this is a "management style" EDULOG endorses Advice to anyone considering applying or working at EDULOG: DON'T. Walk away. They will feed you the Kool-aid of "there are many problems, and we need you to help fix them" story they give EVERYONE. You are not there to help fix problems. These "problems" have been there for over 20 years (most likely longer). You will only be someone new they can blame for the companies shortcomings. They are not the "cutting edge" software company they claim to be. They have fierce competition that they CANNOT outshine. Their software is grossly out-of-date and they are hemorrhaging clients. Nothing will change. It isn't even worth building your resume on as many have chose to develop the outlook of so they have some justification for remaining at the company. To give you and idea...staff who have been there between 3-5 years (which there are not many) are considered "senior staff". Anyone who has been there for 10+ years (again not many) have been so conditioned to the "EDULOG way" they cannot function in a company or work environment that is not cutthroat or functional. They are "lifers" not by choice, but by necessity. Do not work for this company! You and your family will regret it. It isn't worth any of the empty promises they give.

Pros

Now that Mikey is gone people have to fear less about being fired or signing ultimatum position changes. 4/5 of the crack management team hired to revolutionize the company have either quit or been fired. We got a new roof.

Cons

Raises are non-existent in this place, don't even ask because you probably wont even get a yearly evaluation. Showing talent or exploitable skills will most likely end up with you taking on more tasks or work to harness that special something. just don't expect anything in return. Departments don't know how to communicate with each other so its constant chaos when it comes to projects or deadlines. Hiring freeze has been in place for the last year for certain areas, people are overloaded and looking to escape.
