Pros

Nice people, friendly environment, company swag for a discount, cafeteria built in through Hilti in the same building. You felt secure with all of the security measures and tornado shelters. They have a gym built in upstairs with a few pieces of machinery.

Cons

No one knows what anyone's job function is. When you ask what your own job function, you get someone who most of the time shrugs their shoulders and acts like what you just asked was a dumb question. The upper management only cares about themselves, not the greater good of their employees. They do not care about employee morale. The reason why they have the built in gym and cafeteria is because they bought the building from Hilti. EDC had no intention of building these things for their employees. It was just a perk that came with the building. There were no employee picnics nor potlucks. No company events. Upper management were constantly on firing rampages and constantly were doing snap firings. No warnings were ever given to these employees, they were let go without any reason. Poor way to run a business. Management only cared about putting more money into their pockets by providing incentives for their Consultants, but they cared little for their employees. When employees had ideas to make the place better and to provide better morale for their employees, it was looked down upon and as if it did not matter. To upper management at EDC, an employee was just a number and of no significance to them. My advice to someone reading this, do not pursue this company. These people do not know how to run a business and are doing very poor financially. They will never give you a raise and don't ever ask to speak to the upper management because they will slam their door in your face and never speak to you about anything you care about. These are the facts. Take it or leave it.

Pros

The friends you can make are amazing

Cons

- Below average pay - Below average benefits - Management wants you to risk your life to get to work (ice storms and if you have covid, they expect you in the office) - Forced to use PTO if you don't want to risk your life to get to the office - They ask you to bring your work laptop on your vacation so you can work on your vacation, but still tell you, you have to use PTO if you aren't in the office even if you are working. - Super toxic environment from other departments, like Marketing department and the ED department; they'll report you to HR if you don't kiss their feet. - Fake benefits: They'll tell you that they provide amazing benefits and then never deliver on it. - Rats in the building (literal and figurative)
