Toxic place to work - Run the other way

Pros

Some of the people are nice to work with. A good place to learn some stuff or to get into the IT Field.

Cons

The company is ten years behind the times in technology and pay. They tell their employees to lie to the customers when there is an outage or there is slowness on the data stores. You are not allowed to speak your mind and if you do your ideas are ignored or you are told you are being negative. What is negative is Senior engineers telling the level one and two support staff they are dumb. That is a toxic environment, or being criticized all the time. They currently have a hiring freeze and no pay increases are coming. The executive members are grabbing at straws to save the company. Lots of closed door meetings, and finance audits. Over worked employees who are stressed out and the company does not care. The positive reviews on this site are from the sales people who have an expense account, and are the cool aid drinkers. Realty is the company is going under.

Pros

There are a lot of nice people here who are very smart. Open communication amongst the troops only. Decent place to start a career but not a good place long term.

Cons

The management team is disconnected from the troops in communication. There is no goal or path for this company. The pay is low and you will work 16 hour days and get nothing in return. They run you into the ground. There is no life work balance. The benefits are sub par. Run the other way. No appreciation for the employees.

Pros

Easy to get your foot in the door at least and the virtual environment they work in allows flexibility but besides that not much else

Cons

Where to start? From their lack of a ticket system, no monitoring programs ( I had to get my own remote software) no structure in management and the Tier 1 can go from an brand new technician to someone working in the fuel for 5 years you never know what who you will Be working with, and you’ll be working in a basement
