Awful place to work unless you are a Bible thumping Christian

Pros

Some ethnic diversity means the potlucks held every few months will expose you to some delicious food.

Cons

The main downside is they expect you to be a Christian, preferably one who is actively involved in religious activities. They would also like you to be a conservative Republican, but seem a little more flexible on that. If you work there, you will be exposed to prayer meetings, scriptures posted on the walls, and other religious stories. If you interview with them, be prepared to answer questions like "What church do you attend" or "Who did you vote for in the last Presidential election". I realize for some people these attitudes and practices may be a pro, not a con, but they are blatantly discriminatory.

Pros

Engineering department always helps each other out. if you do want to work at this company, apply for the sales department, don’t go to engineering.

Cons

There are so many cons to be an engineer at this company: Engineers are under paid by a lot (with or without experience under your belt) and don't expect to get a raise Since this is a small company, there is no growth for engineers to move forward in their career. Sales department constantly sends emails to engineers asking for status of their orders, so much it is hard to get work done with the amount of emails one gets. If anything goes wrong with an order, in anyway, every department says "it is engineering department's fault" With the amount of work that is given to the engineering department, engineers are forced to do 10+ hours a day. There is no compensation for your time for the extra hours you put in each week. Engineers have to clean the breakroom every week. This company hires too many executives and not enough engineers to keep up with the work orders.

Pros

The people you work with are awesome, lots of talent and cool product. Each individual can make a significant contribution to change

Cons

Family owned and none of them have ran a medium size business before, seems almost as if the CEO is afraid to make decisions. There is too much focus on things that do not matter and not enough on making the business profitable. Changes are made on the fly and not properly documented, causing the same mistakes to be made over and over again.
