Pros

I thought about this for a very long time, absolutely nothing comes to mind. This is where dreams go to die.

Cons

This place is run like a playground complete with the yard bully and a bumbling recess monitor. The attitude overall is condescending, vindictive, rude, unprofessional, and juvenile. The leaders of the company are so incompetent that turnover is through the roof and every employee from top to bottom often spoke candidly about their disgust for their decision to work there. More than 100% turnover during my time there. It's a revolving door of lunacy and petty politics. They do allow pets there on fridays, but then the pets defecate on the carpet and the owner takes hours to pick it up. They management often talk about people's personal details including wages and benefits in a public forum. They make crude often political or sexual comments, also in public. There is a culture of sexism and good ol' boys. They do have Friday lunch, but the owners often openly complain about that privilege. They do offer work life balance in your initial offer, but that really does not exist. Clearly they have lately incentivized posting positive reviews on here, but don't let it fool you. Most of those people posting on here are some of those who were openly complaining about this place before.

Pros

- Free lunch on Friday's for half the year. - Location on Newbury St. - Mid-level staff and lower senior level staff are good people who are very smart. - Some good client names.

Cons

Please let me be clear that this is a true and accurate review unlike several of the previous reviews on here that were untrue, written by management or management asked an employee to write it. I worked at Elevate for multiple years as a full-time employee but I am writing this review to warn future prospective employees, and to encourage you to really consider what you want from an employer before working here. The senior leadership at this agency is unprofessional, incompetent at times, gossips behind your back, doesn't work half as hard as the mid-level staffers and treats their employees terribly. As you can imagine this has a trickle down affect because it is a small agency. The COO is unprofessional and lazy, he acts like a class clown instead of a respected leader and he does more personal work than actual work in the office, while the CEO is a snake who expects the moon from everyone he works with yet he berates them, talks behind their backs and shows no appreciation for people who break their backs for him. The office environment as a whole is very unorganized and unprofessional as money is spent on unnecessary things instead of being given to the hard working mid and low-level employees, or being put into renovating the run down office. In the years I worked there only one person was promoted which is a huge slap in the face to everyone because there were at least 3-4 people who deserved promotions and they weren't given. Overall, no matter how hard you work and how much you care about your work/reputation you won't be promoted, you will be undervalued and unappreciated and there will be no loyalty or respect given by the people that run this place.
