Pros

The company offices are in a good location.

Cons

The directors create a stressful work environment with little regard for quality of work. Employees are overworked and work long hours for little reward.

Pros

Really nice and friendly team. Good experience in travel sector accountancy and audit.

Cons

Juniors are allocated to jobs straightly after joining the team. Seniors don't have specifically allocated time for training juniors and have lots on their plates themselves. No induction course is organised for juniors. No grades and hierarchy of audit roles. It's not clear what is your progress from year to year and no clear understanding on whether your salary is in range for your achievements or just as you could win in an appraisal review. For achieving the expected quality of working papers you are given not enough time so working overtime is actually expected and even often asked for but never paid for.

Working at Elman Wall

Pros

Working at Elman Wall is really enjoyable; there is a real sense of togetherness amongst the team/firm, it's almost like having our own work family. One of the best things about working within the audit team (A team) is the really strong relationships we all have with each other, the fact we can rely on one another and ask for help and never get turned down! How can I forget the team socials we organise on a quarterly basis... crazy golf, rounder's, flight club to name a few. All these little things really add to our team morale and work/life balance. Last but not least there are great career prospects at EW which is one of the key appeals to working here as it makes the hard work really seem worthwhile. The directors aren't shy when it comes to pushing staff to strive for their goals, whilst supplying training and support where needed.

Cons

During the busy periods it can be a bit stressful - but what job isn't!? The positives are that it is recognised by the directors and we get to enjoy work away days like the one we have just returned from, being an all-inclusive cruise to AMSTERDAM.
