Pros
- Foot in the door - Mostly good / personable / open minded individuals
Cons
- Not a clear pay scale. They hire people with no relative experience for more money than those who’ve worked for the company for years. Employees with the same title and responsibilities could have a very large gap in their salaries. - They somehow think they pay market standards. So once you are in, getting paid for what you are worth is impossible unless you leave. They often make counteroffers which is insulting in different ways. - No proper or structured performance review system. No career development plans. - Management “listens” but doesn’t take any measurable actions to fix issues. - Politics and cliquey culture from top down. - Extreme bandwidth issues. The current "hiring surge" is mostly due to people leaving and the management not keeping up. - No proper training in place. So the current employees have additional workload of training new people. - Despite the Unlimited FTO, you feel guilty taking time off.
