Pros
I heard 5NINES described once as "a bunch of cowboys" and while some may not see that as being super positive...I disagree. To me that means we are a hardworking crew of super smart people who take risks, make mistakes, get their hands dirty, aren't afraid to wrangle difficult clients and kick up a little dust when necessary. We do a good job here. We are wildly skilled and wildly talented. We just aren't conventional. Of course, this means that the owners aren’t conventional either. The CEO is an entrepreneur who is constantly thinking and coming up with ideas. If you are the type of person that can help him rein in those ideas and shape them into something elegant and realistic you will do well here. Additionally the owners give their employees an incredible amount of freedom and praise, but the flip side of that is the expectation that you manage your time, take initiative, get the job done and are open to feedback. If you need to be micromanaged, told what to do or can’t handle constructive criticism when things go south this may not be a good fit. Look, this isn’t a perfectly organized company….it’s rough around the edges, but the people are really great (including the owners). Everyone is incredibly personable and friendly. Honestly, most of my job could be done from home, but I come in because I like it here (<—— I have NEVER said that about a job before.) It is not lost on me that it’s a bit weird to be writing a review when we are hiring, but to be fair someone needed to offer a different perspective. If you are reading this review and can see where I am coming from this might be a really great fit for everyone.
Cons
Benefits and pay are average and could be better, but they are constantly adding and improving benefits. However, I'm happy here so average pay in exchange for NOT dreading Mondays is worth it to me.
