Pros

Working at SevenTwenty Strategies is a pleasure. I love the people, super talented and personable. As a former employee reviewed, there are no bad apples. Great dynamic both professionally and socially. I am seasoned in the field, and can also absolutely say that I've learned an incredible amount since starting here. I've gotten the chance to hone skills in new technologies with the team, introduce some ideas, and contributed to fascinating and rewarding projects. The organization is open-minded to carefully evolving directions technologically, which is something that I cherish. It's not excessively big to where things would get buried under insurmountable layers of bureaucracy -- truly a dream for a technologist. I could go on about this. Located right in the heart of Dupont metro area, a vibrant and exciting neighborhood.

Cons

This is the toughest question. SevenTwenty is a legitimately good workplace with legitimately good people at every level of the organization. Perhaps having to use a key for the bathroom can occasionally be a barrier in an emergency, but at the same time the security-consciousness is appreciated!

Pros

Friendly atmosphere with a great sense of camaraderie. The principals and account directors really know their stuff. Frequent happy hours and other company-wide events -- always a blast!

Cons

A rather niche client base, but if that's your field you won't find anyplace better.

Pros

While at 720, I worked with a lot of great professionals. People in that office are doing really solid work. There was a great sense of camaraderie. I really enjoyed some of the projects I contributed to, producing a great work product alongside talented individuals. It was a relaxed office, jeans were okay most days. Generally were accepting of a flexible work schedule, allowing flex work time that made balancing commutes and home life easier.

Cons

There are some real problems in management. While there was flex time, one manager was known for keeping tabs on who was there when -- but mostly just using is as a "I was here later" complaint tactic instead of realizing who had been there early in the morning. So great if you're a late person, not so great if you're a morning person. There are some serious problems communicating with staff. And morale problems are approached in a way that a lunch or company outing would fix much deeper problems. Micromanaging runs rampant from the top, but in a kind of schizophrenic way. The way management handles discussing money and revenue was also really unsettling. Some days it was as if there was money to just throw at projects. And other days the management was making it appear that losing a single contract or bid would do the company in. I don't think it actually would, but that was the atmosphere.
