Pros

Really amazing product that is easy to get behind, decent pay, cool atmosphere, lunches provided.

Cons

No official HR department to speak with, or voice concerns. When I started, there were only 2 females working plus the cook/cleaner. Out of 40 people! The rest all males. Being accepted or included was difficult with management. I often felt treatment and favouritism was all but to obvious. The company preaches hard work, but I noticed employees who were lazy and not very motivated or enthusiastic, getting special treatment over others who worked harder.. I felt I busted my butt and was at the top for metrics as proof of that, but was ignored with positive feedback or coaching opportunities that could've helped me.

Pros

- 'Google-esque' feel in terms of culture, work ethic, and work environment - Employees who value and respect each other - Product is worldwide providing great exposure to cultural differences in the workplace - Customers LOVE & appreciate the product and service being provided which makes for a really great customer experience - Who doesn't love jammin' out to tunes while you work?! - If you have a good work ethic and think the Power of the Playlist is a powerful thing - You should work here!

Cons

- Glass ceiling seems to be present in some departments while missing in others - Creative ideas don't really get pushed up the ladder, only down

Pros

The company has done a good job of growing the company to a stable place. There is no concern of the company going under, or losing jobs due to lack of revenue.

Cons

The company feels more like a dictatorship than a team. Leadership roles at this company have over-inflated egos, and are incredibly narcissistic. This becomes quickly obvious based on the way they treat their employees, and by their everyday demeanor. I found many good ideas were discarded without thought by leadership, and they are very hesitant to explore ideas outside of their own comfort zone. This kind of thinking squanders innovation and that is why I believe while leadership may believe they are doing the right thing, they are ultimately destined to keep the company growth stagnant (and even decline) because of this.

Hi Anonymous, Unfortunately terminating folks who are ineffective is a reality of running a business. We do wish you nothing but the best success in the future and are happy to help you find new employment. We would encourage future readers to consider this: https://www.asktheheadhunter.com/7453/can-i-trust-glassdoor-reviews “Talk to the company’s customers and vendors” - Our company has customer segments with Net Promoter Scores as high as 100 (the max)! This takes hard work, tough decisions, and people dedicated to the customer experience, instead of just themselves. We will take a few Anonymous bad reviews here any day to protect that.
