Opportunities for growth are limited once you get to a certain level. A lot of it is also political. Salary ranges are below industry average. I was there for over 7 years as the only analyst in the Insurance department. I ran all the insurance analytics on my own. I never got much help and never got a clear answer about getting promoted. I worked a lot of extra hours but I didn't mind. After 7 years they finally decide to bring in someone else, who happened to be much younger, to help with Insurance Analytics. They soon gave the promotion of team lead to this same individual. This promotion should have been mine. I have nearly 30 years experience in analytics, most of it in the insurance industry and 7 years with AAA Northeast. This person only had a handful of years in analytics with none in insurance. That's when I decided to leave.
