Pros

Boss knows nothing about laptop stuffs. If you're good at embellishing things from bad to good orally, she will be 100% satisfied.

Cons

Totally no management. Very chaotic and despressive work enviroment. Everyone is multitasks here. Low pay. Racism. Boss knows nothing about work requirements and what should do.

Pros

Strong community programs, especially workforce development. Targets underserved populations. Childcare center, on site, is an interesting addition.

Cons

Congested location, but understandable in Chinatown.

Pros

I don't think there are any pros for this place. The only good thing I had experienced in here was met a few good co-workers. If I can give this place a zero then I would.

Cons

Poor Management: When I first saw hiring information of this place I have read the reviews online and I saw one review saying poor management. At the time, I was curious how bad it can be and now I can't agree more! The CEO and CFO know very little and careless about what their employees jobs are. What they care? Your time sheet! They are very smart and strict about your time sheet, such like at what time you came in and left. How many hours of lunch breaks you had. But things come to your work, no, they don't give a F about it. They will never appreciate your effort and sometimes they don't even know what your job content is. The CEO also like to gaslighting her employees and blame them did nothing even they did a lot for her. BTW, all of her employees are multi-tasked in here, they work more than three jobs but got paid for only one job. Financial Uncertainty This is a NGO company and they get a lot of fundings each year from the government. Due to the poor management, the CEO and CFO never read the requirement (things the company must do after received the fundings)of the fundings. They have no idea what the specific requirements of each funding are, and every time there is a deadline, they will urge their employees to help them meet the performance requirements. If the staff raise any suggestions, such as asking them to read the requirements of the fundings carefully, they will gaslight the staff, implying that they are not capable enough or cannot do what they ask. Secondly, this place receives a lot of funds every year, but the organization is still a mess. I have no idea where they use the money. Micro Discrimination The CEO and CFO are both Asian, but unfortunately they discriminate against Asian employees and clients. There are some things that employees of other races can do, but if Asian employees do the same thing, they will be warned by the CEO and CFO. The funniest thing is that this place is called Asian American Civic Association, and the original intention of the organization is to help Asian Americans live a stable life in the United States. But now the CEO hates helping Asian Americans the most. I understand that one of the reasons why the CEO thinks this way may be because the whole society now discriminates against and exploits Asians, and paying attention to Asians does not get good government resources. But in such a difficult time, if even an organization like us turns against and starts to become a butcher, I think it is very unreasonable. This may also be related to the CEO's poor management. She doesn't know what to do at all.
