Pros
One of the best reasons to work at ADT is that the name recognition and company infrastructure is second to none. Most people recognize the logo immediately and have a fair idea about some of the things the company does.
Cons
The flip side of widely recognized name and the huge size of the company is that anyone who has ever had an issue also recognizes the name immediately. Representatives can find themselves spending a lot of time cleaning up messes of those who came before them. This is made worse by the never-ending turnover in sales- a lot of salespeople rotate in and out very quickly. Part of the reason for this is that there are a number of complicated requirements with regard to technology, legality, and paperwork etc. Many of these are necessary due to the nature of the security industry and the type of product/service provided. That is enough to scare off some people, but the company seems to go out of it's way to further complicate the process by imposing another series of in-house requirements, multiple processes, and hoops to jump through, many of which are designed to either delay an order or as an excuse to avoid paying commissions. It's as if management just wants to get as many sales out of you as possible before you go broke from them housing commissions, get frustrated, and quit.
