Pros

Extremely flexible, truly can make your own schedule. There is income potential. Good health benefits & 401k match. Ability to work on your own, and only report to the office a few times a week. Depending on your area, you truly get a sense of helping the community.

Cons

Managers can be very needy- 4-5 check in calls a day. Pricing plans can be hard to sell- much more expensive than any competition. Near impossible to sell against the AUTHORIZED DEALERS which most customers are more familiar with. 100% commission, NO BASE PAY!!!!! Minimal reimbursements, and you are constantly spending money on gas, tolls, promo materials, etc. You lose time and money if the customer "No-Show"s your appointment...success is contingent on the cooperation of your customers.

Pros

I've worked for the company for 40+ years, I'm treated with respect and my efforts are recognized by my Director and other ADT leaders. They give me the autonomy to manage my department and value my experience and insight. They offer a solid benefits package. ADT leads by example with their cultural markers and ensures that rules and laws are followed. I love the collaboration I have with our other departments.

Cons

Obviously, we all want more money, especially given the prices of everything, it's always nice to make more money, but I've checked the compensation and benefits in similar positions outside of ADT and I feel ADT is paying a fair wage and when I factor in the benefits package, they are above average in overall compensation.
