Pros
It's a job, not a social hangout. Plenty of people have left amsec and came back so they may be doing something right.
Cons
They're are a lot of military retirees working there, and the management knows it. The retirees typically get a military pension and maybe disability, so the company can low ball most salaries and still get people in the door. If you are not retired, expect a low starting salary. I worked hard enough and raised it by 10k over 7 years .
