Underpaid, overworked, bullied and expected to do things for the company that aren't in your job description. - Civil Enforcement Officer APCOA Employee Review

Pros

There aren't many pros to this job other than the fact that there is a slight fleeting sense of freedom in the fact that there is no designated route you have to follow. You are your own boss in that regards.

Cons

Where do I start? Within the first hour of me starting in the role I was told that I needed to get cancer and die, it's safe to assume that nobody on earth likes Civil Enforcement Officers. The contracts that they offer are terrible, when it says that you may have to work weekends it means that you will be rota'd in for every single weekend for the next 10 weeks. You are also expected to work bank holidays (which is at the standard rate of pay). When I was run over by an angry and hateful motorist I was told to report into work the next day if I wanted to get paid as they offer no sick pay. There is literally no chance of career progression within the job role, the managers have no clue about what the job you're doing actually is. You have next to no social life outside of work hours as it is impossible to know when you'll be working. The rota will be up one day and at the end of the day it will have changed 3 times. Time off that you have requested is largely ignored, it will have be put into writing weeks ahead of time yet will be conveniently forgotten about until after it's too late to make changes.
