Pros
Mostly relaxed and friendly team, very reasonable timelines. A lot of flexibility (even RTO has been phased in very slowly compared to other companies)
Cons
No growth. In terms of job title, salary or job skills. You essentially have to decide if to be a lifer and "bleed green", or take it for what it is. Salary was the most frustrating aspect, I was placed at the top of the salary band when hired, but I was still paid less than a newbie with low skills that was hired two years later because apparently only the new hires enjoy the new salary bands. Even asking for a raise, the policy is a max 4% increase in a year, which in my case still wouldn't put me on par or above the newbie. Absolutely disgraceful. You'd expect the brand recognition would help when you leave the place, but I think the Asda brand is damaged both for customers and employers, since knocking on competitor's doors don't seem to give a leg up at all.
