There is a shortage in EMT’s every where so I understand why sometimes we got held over but at least it’s a pay by the hour job so we still were getting paid past our shift times.
I was told starting off at a private ambulance is better than going straight to the fire department

Low pay, poor and inconsistent schedules. I’m supposed to be a full time employee and they cut my hours then hired 20 new people and now it’s no hours to pick up.
