Pros
Some great people still work there--the general counsel, the head of development, the CFO come to mind--but it's a skeleton crew at this point staying around because of various life circumstances to keep the lights on.
Cons
The Spanish overlords. Some great people work for the company in Spain. Unfortunately, the very top management of the energy subsidiary--who make ALL of the decisions--are hopeless. They never understood the U.S. markets and consequently made or failed to make (same thing, really) good decisions about strategy and investments despite the efforts of the good folks in Chicago to help them. The current CEO of N.A. is just a night watchman, in effect. He's there for appearances, to keep the bad elements away. But he has neither a gun nor a radio. He has no authority or power (nice guy; not his fault). .
