Pros

The job provides a great opportunity to learn how different tech works together, and the concept is exciting.

Cons

I used to brag about how much I enjoyed my job, and now I dread coming in. The biggest issue is a lack of accountability from store leadership. Concerns about their level of involvement have been raised repeatedly, but little ever seems to change. Staff are disciplined for attendance and performance issues, yet there have been numerous occasions where store leadership arrived late, left early, took extended lunches, or did not arrive to scheduled shifts. This creates a frustrating double standard and shifts much of the workload onto other employees without additional compensation, while the people who actually take on that work are rarely given the credit they deserve. It's not just the workload, either. Important operational issues are often allowed to sit unresolved for months. Many of these issues ultimately end up being handled by the assistant managers or other staff, even though they're responsibilities that should be addressed at the store manager level. Unfortunately, we've also lost a number of great employees during my time here, and morale has steadily declined. While people leave jobs for different reasons, inconsistent leadership has been a recurring concern among staff. Too often, speaking up about legitimate concerns seems to bring consequences faster than solutions. I genuinely enjoyed working here at one point, which is what makes watching the work environment decline so disappointing.

Pros

The job itself is pretty good, easy going, and very flexible with scheduling. Benefits are really worth having Very diverse experience (in a good way) Depending on store, complimentary snacks, and drinks.

Cons

Sometimes there will be drama. Someone will always ruin something whether it is a booking, or a lounge group, or just wanting to talk bad for no reason. Pay increase sucks, and it’s only given out once a year. You’d only see 50 cents at most every raise, and that’s if you get picked for it. General Managers won’t listen as much as you’d like them to. Regional and higher ups do not visit enough to clear problems with the store. Expect to do tasks you never signed up for. A lot of it is inventory, and it sucks. Stay away from group sales if your team sucks at it. Seriously, you’re only doing more work for no extra pay.
