Pros

Good Location Boss/Owner does not work in office (THANK GOD)

Cons

- The owner constantly and purposefully creates an environment of mistrust and pits employees against each other. He uses employees as spies and actively encourages ratting on colleagues for the most innocuous reasons. He actually feels this will keep everyone on their toes and encourage production. In reality, employees end up fearing each other and race to out "rat" each other. It was an incredibly uncomfortable place to work. - Owner is nice and agreeing one day and then a complete tyrant the next. You never know what to expect from him. Employees are ALWAYS walking on eggshells -Ridiculous turn over rate. Average length of employment seemed to be about 3-6 weeks before employees give up and quit. But owner never reflects on how his own behaviour contributes to this. Instead he blames the employees and calls them "losers". -Owner comes across as nice, agreeable, and easy to talk to during interview process. If he wants you, he will sell himself and his company as a great place to work, but does a 180 once you are hired and in the office. He is degrading, disrespectful and a classic bully. - just an all around terrible place to work. this is not a company that you wake up in the morning and look forward to going to. I prayed everyday for tuberculosis or a flash flood, anything so I didn't have to degrade myself another day working for this company.

Pros

Very interesting projects that have a great impact on society - at least for those looking for a job.

Cons

The workload is not balanced, at times, there's a lot going on, and at other times, it's slow.

Pros

I joined Adverto in 2013 with a mandate to manage the Operation, and have since changed my role and responsibilities several times to focus solely on my strengths and what I'm most passionate about. The opportunities to grow and develop an expertise in and outside my field of work have been tremendous. I wasn't just exposed to new ways of doing things, I am constantly encouraged to rethink how I do things and explore avenues that haven't been tackled before. Finally, Adverto truly cares about its customers, vendors and partners, and everyone goes the extra mile to ensure all clients are receiving an unmatched service. It's refreshing to feel you make a difference in an industry which favours profits over quality.

Cons

The size of Adverto brings its own set of challenges as you're expected to compete with companies which deploy 10x more resources, and you're also expected to serve the needs of large employers whose expectations are sometimes unrealistic. Although the success is invigorating, it does often take a toll as you're expected to be at your best all the time.
