Pros

As I understand it, it depends on your manager but mine is mostly great! Great people. Great customer service. Great time at work usually.

Cons

If you are looking for a manager training program and Advance doesn't have it. Their pay is a dadgum joke. And if you are sharp they seem to want to make you a key carrier closing the store every night with only one other person, even on Friday and Saturday nights and just forget that you could do so much more. And as with any retail they set lofty sales goals (which mean jack) and then no matter how well you do, it is never enough!!! Management seems to only want to hire so many part timers that it is impossible to get really decent hours.

Pros

It’s a pretty easy job, very fun people to work with. Hours as a driver are pretty consistent.

Cons

The pay isn’t great. It would be nice if the drivers were making at least $17 or $18 an hour. Also benefits don’t extend to health insurance only dental and vision if you are only considered part-time. Anybody that isn’t the GM, CPP, and RPP are considered part-time, regardless of the hours you get.
