Pros

Little to no pros lately

Cons

Title is sales manager because I’m no longer a GM in my eyes, I’m a sales person who’s highest in charge. I spend more time on the counter, rather than making sure tasks are done, coaching and training sales associates. Maybe that’s because we are forced to run on skeleton crews due to hour cuts. Horrible communication within upper management and departments (left hand doesn’t talk to right hand). Customers are now a second thought to shareholders and employees are even lower. Stores expected to run on skeleton crews while doing the task of a full staff. Lunches are impossible to run and nobody takes them usually. Tasks aren’t completed then criticized for not doing them. Pay is a JOKE, even if you’re a GM... “hire quality staff” for $8.50 an hour... then wonder why we can’t get anyone worth the knowledge they have. Plus once you do, you get MAYBE 5 hrs a week to train them. Constantly changing things that aren’t broken!! THERES MORE... MUCH MORE!!

Pros

A lot of schedule flexibility

Cons

There is a lot of favoritism/bad management, especially in the DC that I work in. (DC-41)

Pros

It’s a pretty easy job, very fun people to work with. Hours as a driver are pretty consistent.

Cons

The pay isn’t great. It would be nice if the drivers were making at least $17 or $18 an hour. Also benefits don’t extend to health insurance only dental and vision if you are only considered part-time. Anybody that isn’t the GM, CPP, and RPP are considered part-time, regardless of the hours you get.
