burning people out - Operations Advisor360° Employee Review

Pros

Typical start up perks. Hybrid environment to go into office twice a week, free snacks and drinks, there were free lunches, but that's being phased out, unlimited PTO. Most people are nice enough there, but there are too many changes between people leaving and new people starting to know who is who.

Cons

It's a startup, so you're going to work and work and work and never really feel satisfied. You will find yourself eating lunch at your desk (or just skipping it all together) to get caught up on your work. Meetings I am in you're going to hear a lot of people trying to ask clarifying questions to get more answers about what this #1 priority is. If you manage to schedule some time off, by the time you get back, you're already burnt out by the end of two weeks again and looking forward to the next time you can get away from work. My goals that I set are a joke since by the time the next quarter rolls around, most of what I WAS working is now no longer what I am now. I find it incredibly difficult to keep focused on my career and where I want to head next. We are so busy attempting to attain the next customer milestone that was promised by someone that I've never even met that you will find yourself on "death march" projects where the sole focus is to just "get it done" and then there will be time to focus on the things we need to do to fix things so they are better for next time. But the next #1 priority comes while the last one is still there, and this just keeps happening. We are using either outdated software or stuff that has been built in-house, and we can never get an opportunity to deal with the core issues. If you're lucky, you will not be managed by a micromanager, but you will inevitably be dealing with a micromanager on some level when they reach out to you since their employee stating you were a "blocker". Be aware that even though this is a start up, we've inherited everything legacy from CFN.

Pros

Advisor360° has been very good to me personally and professionally. We often talk about building a company you can bet your career on, and that's exactly what I'm doing here. It's not out of blind loyalty. I'm willing to bet my career here because we are changing where the market is going and I have full confidence in our strategy to get there. We listen to employee feedback. We don't pretend to be perfect, but we're always looking to raise the bar. This is the type of company I want to work for and bet my career on.

Cons

Startups aren't for everyone - the pace is fast but IMO this is what makes it fun

Pros

Working with the previous two CPOs was an amazing experience—they brought strong leadership, clarity, and direction. I learned a lot during that time and saw significant personal and professional growth. It was genuinely a great place to work and develop.

Cons

With the current interim CPO, things have not been going well. There is a noticeable lack of experience, and it has led to confusion and turmoil within the team.

Thank you for taking the time to share feedback. However, we have strong reason to believe this review was not written by the person it claims to represent - a member of our team whose voice and experience we value deeply. Impersonating a colleague to post a review is a serious matter, and we want to be transparent with anyone reading this: the characterizations here do not reflect what we are hearing from our team, and the identity behind this post is in question. We are committed to an open, honest culture where real feedback is always welcome - through proper channels and in good faith. We take every legitimate concern seriously and will continue to do so. To anyone genuinely experiencing challenges, our door is always open.
