Pros
Culture. Culture. Culture. I have worked many jobs before finding my career with Advocate. I have a very strong personality. Love me. Or hate me. (Most the time it was hate) However here at Advocate I have truly found a home in my immediate leaders/mentors. They saw the strengths in me that I knew I brought to the table and they enhanced those strengths to a lot of drive. All through acceptance and coaching. Fun. Fun. Fun. I genuinely have never worked anywhere that rewards and pays back their employees more than advocate does with incentive trips, team outings, and fun weekly team meetings. Seriously, STL market meetings are fun, come to one. Growth. I’ll make this one simple. I still haven’t been at Advocate 3 years and because of the amount of effort and time I have put into advocate I am already a sales manager and even when I thought things were going to plateau there is still more room to grow and it’s not far away if I have it my way! Seriously though, this is not your average job. If you allow it to become your career it will open so many new doors for you. The moment I succumbed myself to advocates way is the moment my life changed for the better professionally. And we all know when that side of life is crushing, your personal life only gets more enhanced.
Cons
Finding what balance means to you with the idea of a results only workplace. This will always be a challenge for anyone because 24 hours in a day is not enough time for all the important things we need or want in our life.
