Pros

This company knows it's actual glass door score is really low because it's a terrible place to work. They have a lot of turn over etc, and have a hard time hiring smart people who will put up with all the idiocy.

Cons

So what they have done to try and make it easier on themselves is have the HR department encourage everyone in the company to go write positive reviews. Furthermore if you read a lot of these reviews they sound like marketing material for recruiters... coincidence??? Because it's easier to fix your score on glass door than it is to fix your company.

Aerohive Networks Response

In the year I’ve been at Aerohive Networks and in the position I hold as a member of eTeam, there’s no doubt the company has gone through much change. This is nothing new for hi-tech companies in Silicon Valley that are all too familiar with constant and fierce competition of dynamic, fast-paced, and cut throat business environments and cultures. While change inevitably has brought both good and bad (including employee turnover), the fact that Aerohive’s cultural pillars focus on Customer Focus – Invent & Simplify – Teamwork – Integrity – Deliver Results means that honest direct feedback is both necessary and valued. This is exactly the message conveyed at Aerohive to our employees using public forums like Glassdoor. Whatever your experience may be, we invite and even encourage our people to share. We realize no company is perfect (including ours) and so hearing input about what the HIVE is doing to help develop and promote the careers of our employees (tenured and new alike), the accomplishments made collectively, and what we need to get better at including our leadership team is welcome and appreciated. This is consistent with our culture (integrity and teamwork) and workplace. So thank you to all who have taken time to post their comments about what they love at the Hive and the constructive things we still need to work on. This is a direct indicator you care, otherwise you wouldn’t have taken the time to share.

Pros

My line manager and director are all very professional, and very nice. It offers free dinner if work overtime. Need to work overtime if needed.

Cons

System used is not very productive.

Pros

Disruptive technology allows most reps to crush quota

Cons

Lazy management: Don't expect management to do anything for you besides pointing out how many calls you are making in a day. They won't back or support you in (and especially if one of their bosses is involved). Robots! Office politics: It's the worse I have ever seen and so many rumors get spread and have led to people being fired. They love the saying "Perception is reality" but they are the ones creating this false reality. This happens mostly in middle management due to the fact that the CEO is disconnected and has no idea. Special treatment: If you happen to be related to middle management or are in the cool kids club they you will more than likely be fast tracked into an awesome producing SLED patch. I have seen senior reps that built a territory from scratch be kicked out so a family member or friend can take it over and reap all the commission... Over worked: If you work at aerohive you are expected to do everything (inside sales, field sales, channel development, trade shows, travel into territory twice a quarter, close and manage existing pipeline, Erate, etc all with little to no help. If you ask for help they simply say no.
