      Pros

      Refugee resettlement is so necessary for newcomer refugees and immigrants to feel welcome and receive the services they need to flourish in the US. Working for ACC brings a sense of communal pride in being a part of this work.

      Cons

      Management was overwhelmingly white and ill-prepared to face the challenges of resettlement under the Trump administration. The parent organization in Washington, DC constantly hampers local attempts to strengthen programming and organizational structure. This leads to a frustrating environment where it is difficult to get anything meaningful or lasting accomplished.
