Pros
There aren't many tech companies out there like SSI. The people are friendly, down to earth, and most don't have a big ego. People collaborate and try to help each other. The CEO is great as is product leadership. There's good work-life balance - "family" is a value and not in the way some tech companies say your co-workers are your family as a way to exploit you, they really do just value family and respect the fact that family has to come first. There's a flex time policy to back up that value, which is really nice. The customers really are partners in shaping the product, another aspect that's pretty unique among tech companies. The product is actually an essential tool for people in ag, not just something that exists to steal people's time, attention, and money. It feels good to work on something that actually matters and where your work really does make a difference to people in the industry.
Cons
Salary and benefits are mostly based on what's competitive locally. If you're local, it's definitely one of the best employers around. It's not always enough to attract senior level remote folks.
