Pros
If you are in the "inner circle" you'll be fine.
Cons
Akkar is a glorified call centre rather than a strategic recruitment business. The focus is purely on call volume, dial as many numbers as possible and hope something lands. The environment can feel biased and favour certain individuals. Notably, MOST Glassdoor reviews raise similar concerns (so please do your research before you join them) Compensation is below market compared to competitors in the Brighton/Hove area. If you thrive in a high-volume, KPI-heavy call centre environment where activity numbers are the only metric that matters, this could suit you. However, if you value building long-term client relationships, understanding business needs, and taking a more consultative approach to recruitment, this wont workout for you. Recruitment is of course a numbers game to an extent, but sustainable success often comes from genuinely understanding clients and markets rather than purely operating on an old-school, high-volume agency style model. Extremely KPI-driven culture with limited autonomy over how you manage your desk or build your approach. Most employees are unhappy - becomes pretty obvious pretty soon.
