      Pros

      From the CEO on down, the company feels like family. Supervisors and upper management are always eager to help if you have questions, if there's an issue with a client, etc. They're flexible and emphasize the importance of family. Benefits are very good. Just a great place to work.

      Cons

      It's difficult to come up with a downside to working for AST.

      Pros

      I have worked for Allegheny Science & Technology (AST) for 7 years. I have found management to be fair and supportive and salaries to be competitive. I have been happy with the health benefits, too.

      Cons

      As with working for any federal government contractor, there is some stress involved when it comes time for contract rebid.
