Pros
Landing this job at Alliance Labs has been nothing short of a blessing. When we moved to phoenix for my wifes job it was next to impossible to find the happy medium between a great corporate job with good benefits & pay and a job that I felt I made a difference in. I have been working for alliance labs now for a little over 4 years in their marketing and business development department. This is a family ran business, so I was a little hesitant at first since all I have ever worked in was large manufacturing outfits and never really had any experience working in a tight nit outfit. From the day I had my second interview with the two owners (husband & wife) I knew this was my place to root. The two were a perfect compliment to each other, the husband (Steve) has a personality that you will immediately like him the second you meet him, he made me feel welcomed and excited to work and was very light in his approach to business, he likes to joke around quite a bit. He is also a brilliant mind, very business savoy and the wheels always seem to be in motion in his mind, he is always finding ways to grow the business and strengthen our team. His wife (Amy), is also a very similar personality, a bit more straight edge than her husband but a very kind person. I work directly for Amy in my position. Amy is one of those few people you will meet in life that just makes you say wow, she is so dedicated to the growth of this company, always on the offense when it comes to sales and marketing growth she does not just wait for sales to come to her and her sales team. I have had the privilege to be apart of this company and see how a solid team can really scale a businesses, I have also been able to learn a great deal while seeing her in motion. As for my colleagues here, it has been a privilege to get to know these great, unique people over the years. The staff that has been here for a few years are very bright, caring, and a hard working group of people! I think this has a lot to do with the company outings we have, the culture the owners have created, and the personal touch the upper management displays to us.
Cons
Due to the nature of a small growing business, there is little room for a title promotion. However, I must disclaimer this. Although the room for fast title advancement is hard, the starting pay, bonuses and benefits are higher than average. The 2 owners are quick to reward their staff with raises, bonuses and other perks when a good job has been done.
