Great place to work, but layoffs are concerning - Fixed Income Analyst AllianceBernstein Employee Review

The recent layoffs of 177 people, which were primarily women in leadership positions, was very concerning. Talking to other colleagues, apparently AB does this every couple of years. I realize the asset management industry is cyclical, but seeing women who had been been here for 15-20 years get laid off with no notice was very disheartening. We then had a town hall the following week where they talked about the importance of diversity in leadership, and how it was so important to promote from within.
