Pros
The work is meaningful, you’re in the thick of it right away and get to have good hands on experience
Cons
Zero training - except for 3 days and after you are expected to give needles to people etc. Toxic - every employee is sick of the place and complains and talks down about it - most are on their way out Not transparent - nothing is transparent , from the pay , to communicating with program managers. Client/worker relationships - most people treat the clients like garbage. Barely speak to them, make fun of them infront of their faces and behind their backs, don’t give them simple things like can openers when they are in the drawer - they just say “sorry we don’t have any” - senior staff are so negative to be around because they’ve seen so much death, bio hazards etc. Laws - don’t get me started on the amount of food safety laws that are broken, employment laws - weirdness.
