Pros
I worked at Altair for 4 years. The staff are friendly and supportive, the projects are varied - working within different industries, using different codes and conducting: linear, non-linear, dynamic and optimisation analysis. The salary is reasonable, and the bonuses are good. Good pension contribution, and 28 days holiday (plus company closure over Christmas - New Year's Day)
Cons
40 hour weeks with no overtime paid. Never see the finished product of any of the analyses you conduct. No support with CPD - working towards Chartered status or Masters degrees (substituted with in-house training instead) I found resistance from management when pushing for promotion.
