Pros

- The majority of people were friendly but there is quite a cut throat atmosphere, particularly at the end of the month when targets are looming. -It’s only a 9-5.

Cons

- Job is essentially cold-calling, not as was advertised which was as a graduate type scheme with opportunities for progression and exposure to other parts of the company. - Aggressive tactics. We were repeatedly told to tell clients they were ‘under contract’ as a means of achieving sales which was not always the case. This made for some very uncomfortable calls and in my opinion is a very shoddy way of doing business anyway. -Felt very rigid in terms of structure, this role felt a million miles away from senior management, with no focus on broader company issues. -Unrealistic targets. Judged purely on numbers, with no consideration of outside factors. You are essentially given a random pot of clients to call and many don’t know who Altus are or have no interest in their services. Nevertheless we were advised to keep harassing them by phone and email. - Unprofessional office atmosphere. There were negative comments about other members of staff internally and, most weirdly, propagation of some quite serious and unsubstantiated conspiracy theories by some senior members of staff (in the office!)

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We value your comments and are glad to see you enjoyed the flexibility and work-life balance enabled through our Activity-Based Work Model. Changes to team structure are not taken lightly and are made based on the evolving needs of the business and our clients and not a reflection of the commitment of the impacted individuals, or of the organization’s commitment to our employees. The roles we eliminated were out of scope with our annual strategic objectives and we have a duty to our internal and external stakeholders to fulfill our commitments. At Altus, we’re committed to providing our people with the tools, resources and development opportunities they need to make their mark and grow their careers. In 2025, we celebrated 290 internal promotions. If you’d like to discuss your experience in further detail, please email us at internalcommunications@AltusGroup.com and we’d be happy to facilitate a meeting with our HR Business Partners.

Pros

Great benefits, flexible working conditions, co-workers were great, plenty of opportunities to grow

Cons

Seems to be selling off most of its divisions, raises and bonuses were disappointing/often below a cola even with high scoring reviews, concerns about frequent changes in senior leadership.
