Pros

- Compensation is on par or better than the industry for underwriting - Direct and intermediate management is typically very responsive and supportive - Work environment is positive in my specific office - Mix of younger newcomers, experienced employees, and veterans of the industry - Fair yearly review process - Growth means plenty of future opportunities for advancement within the company

Cons

- Fast growth means that workloads can get overbearing at times - Tech is sufficient, but IT issues end up effecting productivity more often than they ideally should - Slow pace/unresponsiveness when work involves liaison with HQ/Home Office in Cleveland - Benefits package is solid, but 401K matching could be better

Pros

Co-workers are amazing. Managers are helpful.

Cons

Rolling out an incomplete new operating system was a horrible idea. Creates additional work for adjusters. The processes being implemented are hindering the ability to effectively close claims. Adjusters are being told to do more with less every day. Claim counts average 180 to 200 for the last 6 months with no relief in sight. Hybrid work was promised at 2 home and 3 in office. That was recently revoked and it is now mandatory 4 days in office. With gas prices what they are, that really hurts. Corporate management seems to be focused more on obtaining #1 status and bringing in the big bucks than finding a way to relieve the stress on their employees. Mental health is non existent and if you aren't putting in 50+ hours a week there is no way to stay on top of your work load. Even then you will feel like you are barely treading water. New NICE phone system is for call centers-not claim adjusters. Not a lot of advancement opportunities unless you are someone's pet. Benefits are mediocre at best.
