Pros
The things I look for: Wear what I want - check, casual dress code Lots of autonomy - not really, but steep learning curve so need direction Fun atmosphere - kinda... lots of company happy hours, mostly cool people, but serious workplace Flexible hours - nah, it's 9am-6pm... with crunch times with lots of work and too little time Higher purpose - nah, you're helping rich corporations make more money, but you get paid, so it's OK Pays first-world wages - yes, unlike lots of marketing analysis competition which are off-shoring analytics jobs to the 3rd World and giving up quality and depth of analysis in exchange for volume at cheap labor costs Interesting assignments - yes, mostly.... so long as you like marketing or modeling or both... I mostly do marketing mix modeling (pooled regression)
Cons
See my above comments on the pros... can use more autonomy and flexible hours and a higher purpose (other than making multi-billion dollar companies richer).
