Pros

I love my students and look forward to seeing them everyday. I enjoy my work and the challenge of seeing growth in the classroom. Great hours, holidays and benefits

Cons

Coworkers are not kind. Most grew up together. They like to hire people from the area. If you are not from there you feel it. It makes it stressful. Be sure to focus on your students. Make sure you have a strong support group at home. Anderson also has a diversity problem. They are not fans of change. They have so much potential. AND what they pay life coaches is a joke. It is more then teachers with degrees. Most coaches never even went to college making 10-20 thousand more.

Pros

Just to have a job and work close to home basically. Some of the schools are ran better than others. Secretaries are very helpful. Students and teachers can be very kind and supportive.

Cons

The school Corp does not respect subs or support staff. Pay is way too low. You can't live off it. They don't care if we can keep the rent paid during the school's many breaks. Good 'ol boy and nepotistic hiring practices. Lots of geriatric retired people who get pensions working for cheap who keep others from getting opportunities. Lots of principals and APs who will take the side of lazy disruptive students and entitled parents over the staff. A few of the schools are so chaotic you are better off not stepping foot in them.
