Pros
Small company with niche consulting offering (SAM expertise), with fairly accessible leadership. Benefits were excellent, considering the size of the company. Good ideas even from the intern level were taken seriously. Plenty of opportunity for promotion and growth in early stages of career. Close-knit group with only a few bad or lazy apples - organize your work to avoid them, and you can have a few good years here.
Cons
Raises & bonuses were a black box, without clear expectations or reasoning. There were some attempts at changing this, but it's hard to diverge from the Big-4 roots. Senior management experience was in client management or actual SAM work, and not in running a profitable business. Questionable decision-making (ELEVATE software development group, NC office expansion, aggressive hiring) led to several rounds of layoffs in late 2016, early 2017; most were handled poorly and some unethically. Very few women in the company, most who worked there when I did have left.
