Pros
Pretty good work/life balance Flexible hours Able to work from home Good vacation days & benefits Week of vacation between Christmas and New Years Free gym inside building Beer/wine on Wednesdays Not too difficult to move up the ladder
Cons
Absolutely no culture. For someone who has been in the agency life for a while and has worked for more "corporate" agencies than this one, I have never worked in a more boring workplace. If you're looking for a fun, creative agency, go elsewhere. There is no real camaraderie; it's all fake and forced. I feel like I'm working with living brain donors. I know for some this wouldn't be a big deal, but one of the things that I loved about working for agencies was the community feeling and workplace culture. Even on Wednesdays when it's the workplace "happy hour", everyone just goes to the kitchen, grabs a drink, and goes back to their desk. This is not an agency for young people, IMO. If you like cheesy office jokes and small talk about the weather, this is the place for you. As far as the work goes, once you're trained, there aren't very many challenges. It's pretty much repeating the same process and even when you get promoted, you're doing the same type of work. The culture is not at all what it appears to be on the website. Maybe in other offices it is, but it definitely is not in the Dallas North office. Look elsewhere.
