Pros

Some good co workers, you all bonded over work trauma from management

Cons

Terrible place. Family business so they wont get rid of the problem (since it’s family). Unless you’re in the brainwash circle nothing will go how they say it will. They lie about anything to get you to agree to do more work and don’t follow through with their end of the deal

Pros

It was gratifying helping people

Cons

- Required to take a color code personality test and all company culture revolves around it. It’s very weird. You are constantly referred to as your color. Felt like a cult. You get asked all the time, “What’s your color code?” And I always replied by saying it’s not important, what’s important is having basic emotional intelligence, good people skills, and critical thinking. - Terrible working conditions. Moved us dispatchers to this building across the street. City basketball kids rented the court and gym beneath us and blasted music. Management told us that they couldn’t do anything about it. It was so loud it shook our desks. Not to mention the mice, and broken skylight that made working conditions freezing in the winter. Also we had to share one single bathroom with all those kids. So whenever I had to go, I’d run downstairs and often times have to wait in a line. It was ridiculous. - Worked to the bone with little to no opportunity for a raise. - Management gives a false sense of hope for a raise by having you write them emails called 1020s at the end of each day to share feedback and experiences and as they would say, “opportunity to brag about yourself” to earn a raise. I did so every day. I think I only missed doing it a couple of times in 2 years. I received two raises over 2 years. Each time was only a 50 cent increase. Basically a slap in the face. I was one of the highest performing dispatchers. I took 70-140 calls a day and always remained calm and helpful to whoever I spoke with. So I started off making $16 an hour and eventually got up to $17. - Management gets weird if you take sick days. They act suspicious of you if your sick more than one day. - Management holds constructive criticism against you. - They are emotionally manipulative. One girl dispatched there for several years. I think like 5 years. She was one of the highest performing dispatchers and was on the sales team. She could multitask and saved the company tons of money. Yet she could never earn an hourly raise. When she finally told the manager Michelle that respectfully she was looking for a new job, it wasn’t even her official 2 week notice, Michelle told her that if she wasn’t all in, she had to go. They made her pack up and leave that day. It was so sad. - The only Holidays off in a year is Thanksgiving day and Christmas Day without pay those days or a Christmas bonus. - They make excuses for technicians treating you badly based on their color code. (Ex: “He’s a red so that’s just his personality to be impatient or rude”) - All in all, it’s pretty bad. I wouldn’t recommend working there. You will be overworked and taken full advantage of. Your needs will not be heard or even considered. They are a huge company and only care about the money.
