Pros
//you will learn a lot but the same can be said for lots of startups out there //comp isn't terrible. especially for a series B //people are generally pleasant to work with and colleagues will provide support when needed
Cons
//leadership is still trying to figure out product market fit. There is hardly any differentiator to the solution AnyRoad brings, which should be a major red flag for a "category creating" company that is no different from hundreds of other ticketing/event management platforms that essentially do the same thing. //poor product market fit is evidenced by sales that struggles to sell the product (and there are some brilliant sales people at the company). While there are some of the most qualified and scrappy reps at the company, there are others who haven't closed a deal in months and months. Quotas are rarely met and there is limited traction in a niche vertical (alcohol) and the company has struggle to break into enterprise customers. //leadership is generally not attuned to hearing critical feedback regarding the product, positioning, and overall areas of improvement. Decisions are seemingly made on a whim without transparent justifications and the company is looking more like any other ticketing/tour operator platform. //some of the high-performing individuals have left the company/are aggressively interviewing for external oppts. //the product is quite buggy and most of the metrics and insights customers actually find useful are all manually surfaced by account managers. The product provides limited self-serve functionality for some of its more useful capabilities and features. The roadmap also tends to focus on features that drive little impact for customers. //leadership tries to paint a rosy, fun environment that celebrates quirks but doesn't mean much at the end of the day.
