Good people but toxic management who DOES NOT CARE about members or staff - Sales Consultant Anytime Fitness Employee Review

The management treats their staff as though they are beneath them. The owner of the Anytime Fitness in Bondi would occasionally visit just to greet the manager, completely ignoring the rest of the staff as if we didn’t matter and with the full purpose of being intimidating. completely disregarding the fact we were overworked, for such a low salary, no wonder why they only hire young people. The commission structure is absolutely embarrassing as well, I remember I got an extra $50 on my pay for hitting target which was almost impossible to hit. My manager was lazy, would be on his phone watching sports while taking all the credit for the work I was doing, even the member didn't like him. The cleaners were only at the gym twice a week, even though the gym was open 24/7, so it became the staff's responsibility to maintain the cleanliness of the gym and bathrooms. Despite this, management would criticize you if you left the office unattended for a few minutes while you were also performing cleaning duties. They also did NOT care about members, charging $149 for gym key fob THEN requesting it back after members cancelation without a refund just to charge the next person the same value for an old/used key fob.
