The transparent and open way engineering sets its goals and the constructive ways it includes the company throughout the development process are distinctive aspects of the culture. There should be room for variation in Appian's culture across departments -- as a consultant or account executive, for example, it's probably not appropriate to show up for client meetings in sandals and a t-shirt.
