Pros

Hours are 8-5 Monday-Friday. Some employees are friendly.

Cons

First week is training but it's definitely lacking and they won't train you anymore after that, you're on your own. It's either you sink or swim and I'd say 1 out of 100 makes it. They hired a few people that same week and all didn't last more than a month! Managers aren't there to help, they will hire you and then fire you if you can't make it in the first 2 weeks. Old timers there are not friendly either. It's probably because they go through new people so much there they don't really care. The compensation isn't what they promised because it's not easy to sell the buildings so you're working there for not very much in return. I definitely regretted taking the job because I was very stressed out every single day.

Thank you very much for your review. Ultimately, getting feedback is how we improve as a company. Since the date of your online review, we have beefed up our training and communication protocols, as well as our HR department. We’re truly dedicated to making our workplace one of the best in the nation. We care about every single employee who walks through the halls of our company, as well as every single customer. It’s because of them that Armstrong Steel is what it is today. Managers are in place to help every employee reach their true potential. We value communication, compassion and dedication, and those who practice the “service-first” attitude we preach reap the benefits on a daily basis. Armstrong Steel is an equal opportunity employer as well. We are sorry you regretted taking this position, as we understand it’s not for everyone. Once again, thank you for your feedback. Pros

The company culture is so awesome! You can tell the Owner and Managers understand the importance of a good atmosphere and they truly care about making our office a positive work environment.

Cons

You MUST be on your A-game! Management will always be there to help you out but you have to listen and absorb the information they provide, If you are not a self starter and let outside factors effect your mental state this is definitely not the job for you.

Pros

There are none. Positive reviews are obviously paid recruiters. They made sure to take down my last review because it exposed them.

Cons

The most unprofessional workplace I have ever been a part of. People are throwing toys and food while you’re trying to make calls. They have no understanding of the market. You will constantly be undercut by the competition and management will have nothing to say. The CEO is a complete Chad with a god complex. Fires people for taking their state protected breaks. You will be forced to work through lunch every Friday and constantly have to go in on Saturdays or you’re “weak”. An actual quote from the CEO, called the entire sales staff weak because he doesn’t realize how out of touch he is. So the work-life balance is basically nonexistent. Turn over is higher than restaurants so that should tell you plenty. And the best part, they completely restructured the pay structure twice while I was there (90 days). So even if you by some off chance start making money they will find a way to take it from you. I would say this place is close to shutting down but the CEO clearly started this with daddy’s money so they will just be in the red for years and years and blame you the worker.
