Pros

Regular worker bees who are good and know how to do their jobs. Social awareness and local charitable work. Promise by upper management to simplify systems and processes.

Cons

R & D of two acquired units ( Hercules & ISP) have nearly failed to integrate cultures, and develop trust. In general the management does not trust employees to do the job for which they are hired and are qualified. It is run like a privately owned company, with an attitude that floggings will continue till morale improves.

Pros

Steady paycheck. Decent benefits. Good diversity. Many people are exceptionally skilled at what they do. Some really good middle-level managers.

Cons

Has gone downhill since I've started here. This company has good roots, but over the past couple of years it has taken a lot of mental gymnastics to keep up with all of the changes in upper management. There's been high turnover rates in plant operations, mass department layoffs and "consolidations" that leaves many feeling insecure. Most are required to shoulder the work of many roles for no increase in pay. The now skeletonized staffing also appears to affect safety culture in a negative way.
