Pros
If you want to work over 40 hours a week this place is always understaffed so there is plenty of room for overtime with an occasional $25 bonus
Cons
The company puts on a big show during the interview process and makes it seem like Atria is just such a wonderful place to work and they talk about how we are all one big "team" and they do the same thing to prospective buyers making them believe Atria is a great place but in reality it is WAY overpriced and average at best. There is a huge turnover rate due to management treating employees like complete garbage and because of this we are always understaffed working well over 40 hours a week without ever getting a thank you for breaking our backs but instead we are constantly being written up and reminded of everything that we didn't get to. We get written up for working through our breaks, taking a break too late or too early and for things not getting done because we took a break. But we are expected to cover the front desk for their break and not only are we passing pills but they have us doing showers, laundry and care on top of it as well as our nurse always leaving us her work to do. It's impossible to get everything done in one shift and if you speak up they fire you without reason or use their favorite word- insubordination. Our manager openly says she is only there to make money and that the business is all about making money and I'm sorry but that's not the way it should be. They even write us up for doing favors for the residents because it's "losing the company money" and that's not right. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.
