Pros

Cool product. Well paid. Transparent financials.

Cons

They ask all new hires to give them a review on glassdoor 3 months into their employment. - Utter disorganisation. Projects and deliverables shift weekly. - Tons of custom solutions with no documentation. - Many different ways of doing the same thing in the codebase. No documentation on best practices. - Poor engineering. No good way to write tests. No domain model. Thousand line functions are the normal. No CI. Tons and tons of boilerplate. No standards. - Knowledge locked inside team members. - Hidden hierarchy. Old team members can do whatever they want. New hires are expendable, second class citizens. - Absent leadership. You'll be talking mostly to your team's team lead. Other team leads, directors, and C-suite don't care to hear you. Leadership does not show up to retros. - The monthly performance review is with the director of engineering, to whom you never interact with otherwise. - Toxic, cut-throat environment. You are constantly being judged, and everything will come up during your monthly performance review. Errors are unavoidable due to the disorganisation of the company and codebase. No chance at dialog, clarification, or counterargument. - Unreasonable expectations on the abilities of LLM assisted development. - Coworkers come and go often. You don't know who you'll be working with next month. - You will be expected to excel in all end of the tech stack. Your preferences and skills mentioned during the interview process do not matter. - If you struggle, you're quickly deemed not worthy of working at Attio. They will not try and assist you. Overall, huge company ego. They think of themselves as having an excelent company culture and engineering practices. The truth is the exact opposite, and their ego blinds them to it.

Pros

- Love that the entire team is truly encouraged to build (if you have a potential solution in mind, help make it happen) - The team is supportive and the culture overall is healthy: people are thoughtful, feedback is encouraged, and nearly everyone is customer-focused - Leadership balances the needs of the business with the needs of its people; transparency is strong here and decisions are clearly communicated.

Cons

Par for the course, but we've still got a lot to figure out as a company and product, so every day is working toward getting ourselves that clarity. Building new processes, defining what success looks like for us, and getting alignment across a growing team - all critical to our success and actively taking place!

Pros

I feel incredibly lucky to be a part of this comany - there's something truly special in the works! Support is seen as a strategic function across the company, not a cost center. Leadership is sharp, empathetic, and incredibly technical! The flexibility and trust in how you manage your time is real, and honestly it makes me want to contribute more. Great variety in the day-to-day work. Engineering ships fast, fixes bugs quickly, and cross-functional collaboration is strong. It's easy to see you're working alongside people that really care about making a difference, and following through! Multiple project opportunities and room to explore. AI is a growing part of the work, and there's space to carve your own path with it. I can't wait to see how the company continues to grow and become a household name in the CRM world!

Cons

Processes and tooling are still maturing. Comes with the territory at a fast-growing company. It's not really a con per se, just a part of being a startup. This also means there's opportunity to shape things, but it can feel like there are more ideas than hours in the day.
