Pros

The company is constantly trying to improve working conditions for employees. They treat you like a human and not a number.

Cons

The season is short and intense, longer employment opportunities would be ideal.

Pros

Lots if instagram opportunities, yet comes a a 16hr / day cost.

Cons

Where do I begin, I guess its-easiest in a list: - Unsafe food handling, nasty dirty trailers. Guest food unsafe not kept at temp. - 4 coolers no refrigeration , no food safety training except a 2 hr non relivant online course. -You dont always get your own bed on tour with a guide team of 3! lawsuit waiting to happen for both guides and Austin Adventures. - vans unsafe, not services are regular intervals. Guides are responsible to take care of these on their day off (so that means no days off) - Illegal use of CUA - told to not wear AA clothing while hiking illegal (i got a ticket doing what I was told to do. - Witnessed guides getting drunk at dinner and driving guests "dude its only 1 mile" reported and the guide was NOT terminated but moved to another location - you cant plan life, no schedule provided. guide manager under management pressure to use friends and family or cheaper (less experienced guides) to save money. Dead end job. - No changes since Active Adventures bought them.
